Bass Lessons with Jonathan Herrera
I’m a professional bass player and recording engineer in the Bay Area. I am the former Editor-in-Chief of Bass Player Magazine, adjunct faculty of the Los Angeles College of Music, and have given clinics and masterclasses all over the world.
My playing credits include: Zigaboo Modeliste, Stanley Jordan, Brain, Oz Noy, Garaj Mahal, Miguel Migs, Cyrus Chestnut, Cathy Richardson, Jon Fishman, Cathedrals, and MoeTar.
Teaching has always been a fundamental part of my career, whether through the magazine or with students privately. I
am uniquely positioned to synthesize the insight that years of friendship and collaboration with some of the world’s greatest players has offered.
