Bass Lessons with Sam Montooth
Sam Montooth teaches Upright and Electric Basses (as well as all of the orchestral string instruments -violin, viola, cello). He has a degree in Jazz Performance, so if jazz is your thing he can definitely help you with that. He’s been performing and teaching for over 20 years in Southern California. He is comfortable with all levels of students from beginner to advanced and enjoys the process of discovery with his students.
In addition to being an instrumentalist, Sam is an accomplished jazz vocalist as well and regularly leads groups as a singing bassist. If you’re interested in singing and playing, Sam’s got some tips to help you master that skill. It is never too late to start something you want to learn.
