Ahmad Hani: Aloof
I started composing some of those pieces in 2007, and when I saw they are all ready to be born, TRPTK (my label) and I decided to do it – my fretless acoustic bass album.
All 9 songs are my compositions. All the parts of the songs are composed and there is no improvisation at all!
There is no usage of tapping or slapping techniques, no loopers or overdubbing, just pure raw bass!
What I can say about my nine songs? In spite of all the intensity they carry, they stream in harmony and never interfere. They seem so different one to another yet they were born in the same place, carried by the same hands, one soul, me.
